Born in Bulgaria, Boyko Ivanov dedicated most of his teenage years to ballroom dancing until in his early twenties he came across a new passion, another great opportunity for expressing himself and his heightened sensitivity to beauty - the art of hairstyling. Following his new passion, he found a job as a teenager in a local hair salon, and instinctively took to the work. After just a few years in the salon, he realized that his talents were definitely enough to take on bigger clients and projects.
In the year 2005, Boyko moved to New York City. Remaining true to his belief that a great hairstyle deserves great makeup, he founded NYC Hair & Makeup, which rapidly became a leader in the high fashion/event hairstyling and makeup industry.
NYC Hair&Makeup have turned into a preferred company by some of the most successful professionals in the ballroom dance sport. Among his clientele list are World-recognized dance champions, such as Yulia Zagoryuchenko ( World vice and US PRO Latin Champion ), Joanna Zacharewicz ( World and US National PRO American Rhytm Champion), JT Thomas ( World and US National PRO American Smooth Champion), Karen Hauer (US National PRO Mambo Champion), Tony Dovolani , Elena Grinenko and Inna Brayer from "Dancing whit the stars" , Snow and stars from "So you think you can dance".
